Here's a little peek into a mentoring session I attended in October! Now that I am on maternity leave I finally have the opportunity to relax and reminisce on this experience. It was definitely a day filled with fun, laughter and learning for all who attended the workshop. I am incredibly grateful to have had the chance to learn from such a delightful and knowledgeable mentor, Charlotte. Charlotte flew all the way from Vancouver to help aspiring photographers like me widen their skill set in her workshop. We strengthened skills including newborn safety, lighting, flattering angles, transitioning between poses, editing and so much more! Overall it was an unbeatable learning experience and an unforgettable day. Styling and poses of these photographs were done by the brilliant Charlotte Gamache in Melanie J Photography's studio. These photographs were captured and edited by myself. My main take away from this workshop was to never stop. To continue learning to better my photography and to dedicate time, energy and effort into my photography. I aim to consistently improve on the services and products I provide so I can continue to deliver professional and high quality photographs for parents and families to love.

Nico is celebrating his first birthday today! Check out how much the gorgeous little guy has changed in only one year! Amazing! I've had the best time watching him grow this past year, from a teeny bean in his mummy's tummy to the most smiley happy little boy. On your special day Nico, I want you to know you so very loved and bring joy to every who meets you. Happy first birthday! Can't wait to see you again soon for your Easter mini session! Newborn 9 days new.  Three months  Six months  Eight Months  Christmas mini session  Cake Smash!  One Year  A year of Nico in a nut shell.... Happy First Birthday Rhys! I really enjoyed your cake smash session with you, your smiles. hugs and giggles throughout your session, melt my heart. I hope you have the best first birthday!      Huge congratulations to Kasia and Prean who tied the knot on Friday. It was an absolute pleasure to share your special day with you both. The Tasting Shed Kumeu made the perfect venue and the weather was great too, over all a perfect day for such a lovely fun couple. Here is a sneak preview from their beautiful day. xx      
  
                Some highlights from our first week of Christmas mini sessions. I am so lucky to have such gorgeous children come visit me in studio.                  11th of the 11th marks the launch of this years Christmas sessions. I had the pleasure of photographing 3 wonderful families today and their gorgeous children. Here's a first look into what we got up to..   
 
I photographed this lovely family 3 years ago when they became a family of 5 and was lucky enough to photograph them again as they grew into a family of 6! Sweet newborn Maryanne was such a dream for me to photograph! I simply adore her! I was happy when her Mum requested we use yellow in one of the set ups, turned out beautifully!          |
